The Elephant in the Room: No Affiliation with DCSO Satire Website

In the world of politics, campaigns often take center stage as candidates vie for the support of the public. While the end goal is to secure victory, how this is achieved is just as crucial.

Several weeks ago, before I launched my campaign to be your next Deschutes County Sheriff, an anonymous satirical website and social media profile about the current leadership at the Sheriff’s Office was published.

Since announcing my campaign, I have often been asked about my involvement with this website.

My team and I have no control over, involvement with, or responsibility for the content published on this satire website. My supporters can be assured when I categorically deny any affiliation with or endorsement of such a website.

Running a professional and forthright campaign is not just about winning. It's about upholding the values and integrity of our democratic process and law enforcement principles. My campaign intends to foster meaningful discussions, encourage critical thinking, and contribute to the betterment of our community.

When campaigns are characterized by transparency, respect, and honesty, the public is better served, and our democracy is strengthened. Voters should champion the candidates who embody these qualities and work toward a political landscape representing the people's best interests. That is what you will find from me and my team.

Let me know if you have any questions or concerns about our campaign’s content, affiliations, or practices. Your feedback is invaluable in ensuring that I maintain the highest standards of integrity during our campaign.
